The AIDA 1 course is a great starting point for anyone curious about freediving or looking to explore the underwater world in a safe and relaxed way. By the end, you’ll feel comfortable holding your breath and diving to a shallow depth with a buddy. Over the course, you’ll:

  1. Discover Freediving Basics: Learn about breath control, relaxation, basic equalization and how your body works when diving.
  2. Confined Water Training: Practice breath-hold and finning underwater to improve your relaxation, breath control, and comfort.
  3. Open Water Introduction: Experience your first open water dives, applying your new skills safely with a buddy.

This course offers two options: complete it in one day (pool session only, no certification) or in two days (pool and open water, certification included).

DAY 1

08:00 Welcome

Meeting at the shop.

08:30 Theory Session

Knowledge and physiology of freediving.

10:30 Body Conditioning

Body warm-up, lung and diaphragm stretching.

11:00 Breath-Hold Session

Breathing theory, learning the breathing cycle, body and mental scan relaxation.

12:00 Confined Water Session

Practice relaxation, breath-hold and finning underwater.

14:00 Debrief

Body warm-up, lung and diaphragm stretching.

08:30 Boat Trip

Boat ride to the first dive spot. Relaxation time and briefing.

09:00 Open Water Session

Practicing equalization and techniques for free immersion and constant weight disciplines at a maximum depth of 10m.

11:00 Fruit Snack on the Boat

Boat ride to the second dive spot. Relaxation time and briefing.

12:00 Open Water Session

Fun diving and snorkeling in one of the most beautiful spot of Lipe.

14:00 Back to Railay
